We created a video to guide you in connecting your local computer to your remote server using FileZilla FTP. However, if you cannot find your Welcome email, here is how you can get the FTP credentials in your cPanel. You will need your cPanel username and password to connect to your default FTP account. You can also create your own FTP account in your cPanel if you wish. You will be connected to your hosting account and on the right side of the FTP client window, you will see a list of all the files and folders on your account.

Then, select one or more files from the left side panel your computer to be uploaded and right click on them.

From the menu that shows up, click on Upload. The transfer will automatically be initiated. Wait for the upload to complete, after which the uploading of these files will be logged in the Successful Transfers tab at the bottom panel.

To download files from your hosting account to your computer, first connect to the hosting account similarly to when you want to upload files. On the left side panel navigate to the location on your computer where you want to download the files. On the right side panel navigate to the folder on your hosting account from where you want to download the files and select the ones you want to download.

In the illustration below, the connection is to the Engineering ftp server, which requires that you use SFTP. When the connection is successful, the files on the local machine are displayed on the left and the files on the remote machine on the right.

Navigate to the file to transfer on either the local or remote machine, and navigate to the folder to which to transfer the file. Then highlight the file to transfer and drag it to the desired location, or double click the file, which adds the file to the transfer queue and the transfer starts automatically.

To create a queue for later transfer, right-click the file and select Add to Queue or drag the file into the queue. Click the Queue button on the toolbar or select Queue Process Queue to transfer files in the queue. If you have previously connected to a site, use the pull-down arrow to the right of the Quickconnect button and select the desired connection.
